Destination Downtown Mebane will once again be hosting its Hometown Holidays celebration on Saturday, November 23, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in downtown Mebane.
There will be numerous opportunities for Holiday memories, as Solgarden will be helping children write letters to Santa, while Impulsive Creativity and Coldwell Banker Realty will have stations for children to make ornaments. At Action Travel along Clay Street, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting with children and taking pictures.
In addition, there will be Christmas caroling along Mebane’s streets. Eclection Emporium on Fourth Street will have delicious cookies available, and DoTerra Diamond Oil Center at Fourth and Center Streets will have cookie decorating. Trackside Bottle Shop will be providing story telling.
There will also be a “Christmas Village” - a collection of 22 vendors set up in the gravel lot at the intersection of Third and Clay Streets. In addition, the ever-popular Carriage Rides are returning outside of Blackbird Studio at the intersection of Clay and Fourth Streets. There will be roasting of marshmallows outside Solgarden, roasting of chestnuts outside Clay Street Printing and Signs, and three food trucks, including Baconessence, Bingo’s Diamond Diner (hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken nuggets), and Cilantro Mexican Cuisine.
The Clover Garden Jazz Band will play in the Veteran’s Garden at 6:00 p.m., followed by the annual Tree Lighting at 6:30 p.m..
