It is with great excitement and honor, I announce my candidacy for the Alamance-Burlington Board of Education.
I’m running for the Alamance-Burlington Board of Education seeking to represent you and your family here in Alamance County. I’m running because I believe at this very moment, we need leaders who will truly serve those they represent. Those who will always display a show of respect for others and who have the courage and integrity to be open and honest. We need leaders who will be willing to work together with everyone, no matter the party, to find solutions to the challenges we face in Alamance County and our Public School system.
I grew up in a Christian home with simple values. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, work hard, do your best, leave it better than you found it, make a difference where you can and always give thanks. My values haven’t changed and they have provided the foundation for why I am willing to serve in public office.
I look back on my established career of 16 years as a professional firefighter with enormous pride, and I am continually reminded of the valuable lessons I have learned along the way and the importance of working together toward a common mission. Throughout my life, I have put service before self and I will bring that same honor and dignity to the sacred duty of representing our children, teachers, and citizens of Alamance County.
Like many great public servants before me, I believe fervently in the American soul, but also that there is a difference between believing in something and acting on it. Today I begin acting on it. I look forward to running an honest, positive, and energetic campaign. I hope you will join me in this endeavor and I respectfully ask for your support on November 3, 2020.
