Investigation leads to arrest of man for drug charges

On Friday, May 29 the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics related search warrant on a residence located at 2916 Auburn Dr. Apt. 206 in Burlington. This search warrant was the end result of a brief and intense investigation involving various violations of the N.C. Controlled Substances Act.  Investigators seized the following items from the residence. More than two pounds of marijuana and a .40 handgun were located by authorities, leading to the arrest of 30-year-old Terrence Jamar Smith.

Controlled Substances Act.  Investigators seized the following items from the residence:

  • 1030.7 grams (2.27 Lbs.) marijuana
  • One S&W .40 handgun

Burlington, N.C. 27217

Charges:

1 count - Felony PWISD Marijuana

1 count - Felony Possession of Marijuana

1 count - Felony Maintain Vehicle to Keep/Sell Controlled Substance

1 count - Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia

1 count - Misdemeanor Carrying Concealed Weapon
