Pair charged in connection with shooting last week in Alamance County

On Tuesday, August 25 at approximately 1:00 a.m., Alamance County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of shots fired into a residence on Calhoun Place in the town of Green Level. Upon arrival, Deputies discovered that the residence, which was occupied at the time, was struck multiple times by gunfire. There were no injuries. During the investigation, Deputies identified a suspect as the shooter, which has resulted into two (2) arrests. Mr. Tamile Emeer Cohn (left) was charged with discharging a firearm into the occupied residence and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. Ms. Alexia Jasmin Matias (right) was arrested and charged with felony obstruction of justice.
