Drug charges for Alamance Co. man stopped by local authorities

On Friday August 7 at 12:47 p.m., Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 2200 block of W. Webb Ave. in Burlington. Deputies noticed the vehicle displayed a fictitious license plate. The driver, Mr. Kevin Tyler Brown, was asked to produce his driver license but could not because of revocation. During the stop, a K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics. A search of the vehicle was conducted and .82 grams of methamphetamine was located as well as 1.82 grams of Fentanyl. Additionally, 8 hypodermic needles were seized. It was also learned that Mr. Brown was wanted by the Burlington Police Department for 2 counts of Injury to personal property. Mr. Brown was arrested and transported to the Alamance County Detention Center.
