Western Alamance High teacher charged with Indecent Liberties

Mebane resident Kenneth Ray Lockner, a teacher at Western Alamance High School, was arrested this week and charged with three felony counts of Indecent Liberties with a student. His first court appearance is scheduled for Friday morning. 

On Wednesday November 6, the Alamance County Sheriff's Office received a report in reference to a teacher at Western Alamance High School having inappropriate relationships with students.

On Thursday November 7, Investigators with the Special Victims Unit continued the investigation and identified additional students who were involved in this case.

Investigators discovered messages between students and a teacher that were considered to be Indecent.

Investigators, working with the Alamance-Burlington School System administration, identified Mr. Kenneth Ray Lockner, who was charged with three felony counts of Indecent Liberties with a Student and placed under arrest.

Mr. Lockner was placed in the Alamance County Jail under a $100,000.00 secured bond. Mr. Lockner is scheduled to appear in court on Friday November 8, at 2:00 pm.

This case is ongoing and additional charges are possible. The Sheriff’s Office has information that other active students and former students were victimized as well.
