Heroin death in Mebane results in arrest of local woman

On Sunday March 15, 2020 at 7:43 a.m., Deputies responded to 2219 Bordeaux Drive, Mebane, NC in reference to a person in cardiac arrest. While at the scene, the deceased was pronounced dead by medical personnel from Alamance County EMS. During the investigation, Detectives charged Kandie Kelley Stec with Sell/Deliver Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, Felony Destroy Criminal Evidence, and Felony Obstruction of Justice. She was booked into the Alamance County Jail and received a $75,000.00 secured bond. Ms. Stec has a first appearance scheduled for Monday March 16, 2020 at 2:00 pm.

The deceased was identified as Jonathan Ray Jacobs of Mebane Oaks Rd., Mebane, NC.

Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) and Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Detectives responded to the scene a began to investigate the cause of death.

During the investigation, Detectives charged Kandie Kelley Stec with Sell/Deliver Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, Felony Destroy Criminal Evidence, and Felony Obstruction of Justice. She was booked into the Alamance County Jail and received a $75,000.00 secured bond. Ms. Stec has a first appearance scheduled for Monday March 16, 2020 at 2:00 pm.
