Mebane Police Dept. announces four arrests in Wells Fargo heist

The Mebane Police Department has announced the arrest of four individuals in relation to the robbery of Mebane Wells Fargo along Fifth Street on December 18. The four men are as follows (left to right): Joshua JeJuan Bailey, Cameron Denzel Evans, Clifton Joshua Harris, and Stanley Kearney. All four men are currently incarcerated in various county jails around North Carolina, charged with a slew of armed robberies that have taken place in the region in recent weeks. 

According to the Mebane Police Department, four men have been arrested and charged in relation to the December 18 armed robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank at 820 S. Fifth Street in Mebane. During the course of this investigation, numerous suspects were developed, and these same individuals are related to other similar robberies throughout the state. 

The following four suspects have been identified, arrested, and charged with the following: 

 

Clifton Joshua Harris

Date of Birth: 07/27/1992 

 

- Conspire to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon 

- Robbery with a dangerous weapon 

- Currently jailed in Wake County on a $2.5 million bond 

 

Stanley Kearney 

20 Dixie Drive 

Kittrell, NC 27544 

Date of Birth: 08/27/1995 

 

- Conspire to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon 

- Robbery with a dangerous weapon 

- Second degree kidnapping (two counts) 

- Assault by pointing a gun (two counts) 

- Currently jailed in Jones County on a $1 million bond 

 

Joshua JeJuan Bailey

Creedmoor, NC 27522 

Date of Birth: 03/26/1994 

 

- Conspire to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon 

- Robbery with a dangerous weapon 

- Second degree kidnapping All of these individuals have been arrested and charged with numerous other charges stemming from other bank robberies throughout the state. 

- Assault by pointing a gun 

- Currently jailed in Granville County on a $685,000 bond 

 

Cameron Denzel Evans 

194 Dixie Drive 

Kittrell, NC 27544 

Date of Birth: 10/12/1995 

 

- Conspire to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon 

- Robbery with a dangerous weapon 

- Second degree kidnapping (two counts) 

- Assault by pointing a gun (two counts) 

Currently jailed in Vance County on a $500,000 bon

On Wednesday, December 18 at approximately 4:17 p.m., members of the Mebane Police Department responded to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 820 S. Fifth Street Mebane in reference to an armed robbery. Three unknown males entered the bank wearing masks, armed with handguns and shotguns, and demanded money. No one was injured during the incident and the suspects left in an unknown direction of travel.
