Eagles second in conference all-sports standings

Eastern Alamance High School placed second in the Mid-State Conference in the Wells Fargo Cup standings for the 2018-19 academic year. The Eagles trailed only Northern Guilford in the final standings. It was another outstanding athletics season for EAHS, climaxed by the school's first-ever NCHSAA 3A state championship.

Eastern Alamance High School’s athletic program placed second in the Mid-State Conference during the 2018-19 school year in the NCHSAA’s Wells Fargo Cup standings. The Eagles, the NCHSAA 3A state champions in softball, also narrowly missed the top ten statewide among North Carolina’s 3A schools. 

Northern Guilford was the Mid-State Conference leader after the spring sports season thanks to championships in men’s tennis, women’s soccer, and men’s and women’s track along with a tied first-place finish in baseball. 

Eastern Alamance came in second place with championships in softball and men’s golf along with second-place finishes in men’s and women’s track and women’s soccer. Western Alamance was third, finishing the spring with second-place finishes in men’s golf and men’s tennis, a third-place finish in women’s soccer and tied third-place finishes in baseball and softball.
