Costa tabbed to lead Eagles basketball into next decade

Brad Costa has been named the new varsity men's basketball coach at Eastern Alamance High School, the school announced Monday morning. Costa is pictured here (middle) alongside EAHS principal Eric Yarbrough (left) and Eastern High athletic director/head football coach John Kirby (right). 

Eastern Alamance would like to announce the hiring of Brad Costa as its new varsity boys basketball coach.  Coach Costa has been with Eastern Alamance for five years serving as a varsity assistant for 3 seasons and the past 2 years as the head JV boys coach.  During his tenure, the varsity team won 2 championships and made it as far as the final 4 in his last season with the varsity and the JV team was the conference champion in both of his seasons as head coach.  Coach Costa’s JV record was 36-4.   Costa is also a valued member of the Social Studies Department where he teaches Civics and Economics as well as AP Government.

Costa, a native of Buffalo, NY, is a graduate of Fredonia State and received his master’s degree from the University of Buffalo.  He was a multi-sport athlete at Alleghany-Limestone High School where he was an all-star in football and basketball.
