The arts are a living, breathing part of our lives. They are all around us and seemingly woven into every memorable experience we have. The strong impact that the arts have in our community brings us closer together and allows us to communicate on a deeper level. They provide a language of beauty that bridges cultural divides through these shared experiences.
These experiences let us view our world in a new way, providing multiple interpretations that create meaningful conversations.
For nearly 25 years, Cary A. Worthy has applied his life-long passion for the arts to our community as the executive director at Alamance Arts.
Under Cary’s leadership, the arts in our community have thrived. Incredible programs and exhibits have come to Alamance County, achieving national recognition. Every year in Alamance County, the arts generate $8.8 million and create new jobs for our people. Cary’s effort to bring his passion for the arts to our youth by creating programs ensures the arts will continue to thrive.
This sense of community has made an impact on our students as well, resulting in improved test scores and lowering dropout rates across the board.
The mark that both Cary and the arts have left on our community will continue to make an impact on our lives and strengthen our relationships through these shared experiences for years to come.
You can ensure that the power of the arts in our lives remains strong with your gift to Alamance Arts. To donate to Alamance Arts in Cary Worthy’s honor, visit https://www.alamancearts.org/donate.
