Mebane Police Department seeking suspect in child shooting

On Saturday, February 20 at 4:00 p.m., the Mebane Police Department received a call reference to a child being shot.  Upon arrival, officers located the victim, an eight-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to his back. The victim and his family were traveling on W. Stagecoach Rd. in Mebane when their vehicle was struck by gunfire.  The victim was transported to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.  So far, there are no leads on this case.
