On February 16, Officers with the Mebane Police Department responded to a residential breaking and entering at 1114 Birkdale Drive. The suspect is a white male, wearing a grey Under Armour ballcap, grey Carhartt hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, Nike tennis shoes, green backpack, and riding a small frame mountain bike. The suspect will knock on the door of homes. If someone answers the door, he will provide a story about losing his dog named “Felony.” He shows a photo of a dog, which is described as a small, short brown hair dog.
