The Alamance County Sheriff's Office has made announced two individuals have been arrested in connection to charges of sexual abuse against a child.

Although ACSO announced the arrests around the same time on Friday, January 14, the cases are not believed to be connected.

Charges: 

(6) F - Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of Minor

In the Fall of 2021, the Alamance County Sheriff's Office Special Victims Unit/Human Exploitation Team received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children involving child sexual abuse material being uploaded to the KiK Messenger App. 

Detectives opened an investigation which culminated in a search warrant for 733 Coley Court in Haw River, NC. During the search and investigation, a mobile device was examined and found to contain child sexual abuse material, images, and videos. The resident, Richard Hultz, was arrested at the scene. He was charged with six felonies of Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of Minors.

Charge: 

F - Indecent Liberties with Child

Bond: $10,000 Secured

On January 6, 2022, the Alamance County Sheriff's Office Human Exploitation Unit responded to a residence in Haw River in reference to a reported indecent liberties incident. It was reported that a minor was touched inappropriately while sleeping by Brian Todd Williams at his residence. 

At the conclusion of the investigation, Mr. Williams was charged with one count of indecent liberties with a child and given a $10,000 secured bond.
