On April 3, 2021, Alamance County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a residence in reference to a house being struck by gunfire. Once on scene, Ms. Lisa Rogers came out of the house approaching deputies and handed them a handgun in a bag. She advised them that her son had shot up his room.
Deputies spoke with her son, Kealan Miles, who admitted to shooting the wall in his bedroom with a handgun because he was angry. A search warrant was done on the residence, and deputies located five empty shell casings at the top of the stairs in front of Kealan's bedroom. Deputies found five bullet holes in the door to his bedroom as well as in the bedroom wall. While there were multiple people in the house at the time when the shots were fired, no one was injured.
