On March 19, 2021, the Alamance County Sheriff's Office received a report from the Alamance Partnership for Children that several hotspots and tablets were unaccounted for as families had not received them.
As a result of the investigation, a warrant was obtained for the arrest of Ms. Casey Hall, a former employee of the Alamance Partnership for Children, who has been charged for obtaining property belonging to her employer and forging signatures of clients to steal the hotspots and laptops for herself.
